Why are Iodine and Selenium so Important for a proper thyroid function

Today I'm gonna discuss  about the infamous Iodine and his best friend Selenium. These two mineral are really crucial for the well being of a healthy thyroid function. Our Thyroid produces Hormone T4 which then needs to be converted in to the active form of the thyroid hormone T3. The Letter T stands for Tyrosine and the number 4 and 3 are the amount of Iodine molecul attached to the tyrosine. So basically the thyroid hormones are made of Iodine. When your bodyis  lack in Iodine then you will develop an under active thyroid. If this situation continues then you might even develop Goiter. Unfortunately nowadays we are so heavily exposed to the other toxic halides such as the fluoride, bromide and chloride. They look so identical to Iodine because they belong to the same group in the periodic table called halogens. While I get most of my nutrients from a nutrient dense diet but I feel that we still need to supplement on some vitamins or mineral as they are vital to our being. Some minerals are really hard to get the full daily required amount so the easy way is to supplement on it. I also always make sure that the supplements is allergen free. Levothyroxine vs NDT....My experience.

I have been on Levothyroxine for about 6 months. The first few days on this medication I had terrible constipation and difficulty to sleep at night. I also experienced these whenever I increase my dosage. I have not noticed much improvement with symptoms. I still feel cold and hair fall so bad. I also started to develop  lower back pain and the pain just seem to get worse as the days went by. Levothyroxine which I was taking contains lactose as a filler. I started breaking out as well especially around my neck due to me being intolerant to dairy. I feel like quiting the pill but I want to do it safely. My last blood test reveal that my TSH was slightly elevated than the previous result.This was due to happen when you start with a starter dose of levo. So I have increased my dosage from 25 mcg to50 mcg to 75mcg to final increase of 100mcg and I was still not feeling any better. Living with Hypothyroidism

                                                                                     I found out about my under active thyroid condition about six monts ago. Some of the symptoms what I have been suffering with are:- cold intolerance ( cold hands and feet)  hair fall  weight gain  dry skin slow heart rate foggy mind   low Basal Body Temperature My doctor medicated me with a starter dose of 25 mcg of levothyroxine. I was told to take this med first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and to wait till 30 minutes before eating anything....

I am so excited to share this flat bread recipe with you all. I promise you that this bread is so soft, flexible and chewy that it will soon be your  favourite flat bread recipe....It is that good. This bread is very popular in certain part of India where rice is their main crop. May God bless the soul of the person who have invented this bread. This bread is perfect as a wrap or eating it with side dish of chicken curry or hummus. So lets get on the step by step of this bread making..... You will need ;- 1 cup rice flour 3/4 to 1 cup of hot water some ghee while the bread is cooking on the pan How to :- First make sure that the water which you will use is freshly boiled and very hot.
