Pizza ia probably the world's most beloved food. Now when you want to lose weight and live a healthy gluten and dairy free lifestyle, it is hard to let go pizza. Those days when I am in need of comfort food, Pizza comes to my mind and all I need to do was to dial the pizza delivery number and in less than 45 minutes the pizza is at my doorsteps. But now since I am sensitive to gluten and dairy, I have to give up on pizza. So being the Foodie me, I never gave up on my quest to eat Paleo version of my favourite comfort foods.  So now that I can eat pizza again and I want to share the recipe with you. The key ingredient to be successful with a caveman lifestyle is that you have to be a chef. Forget about buying your cookies and cakes from the local supermarket or bakery even when it is labelled as gluten free or dairy free as it contain unhealthy insulin spiking ingredients. You have start to bake and cook all your food yourself. That being said, lets discuss on how to bake the pizza ...

Creamy Paleo and Vegan Ice cream

With summer just around the corner and warmer temperatures coming in, my family and I are spending most of our time outdoors in the garden doing gardening, swimming in the pool or even just chilling under the sun. Here in Germany, we have colder days more than warmer days. So when the sun is out shinning, You will see everyone outside on the street or in their garden doing something. They prefer doing outdoor activities when the warmer temperatures hit in. In contrast to my home country Malaysia, where we have warmer tropical temperatures through out the whole year and the people there tend to avoid the sun at all times. We spend our days indoors on our free time most of the time, such as going to the malls or cinema and only in the evenings or at night do we actually go out and enjoy the fresh air. So living in Germany now, I have to adapt to the German lifestyle. The only way for me to keep my body cool while I spend my time outside during the warm days are by drinking lots of fluids...

Image
Today I am going to share with you on how to make your own chocolate bar, with healthy ingredients. Chocolates have always been my best friend. I guess chocolates are indeed every girl's best friend. Food allergy are on the rise these days that including to dairy, gluten, soy and as well to additives in most products from the supermarkets. Chocolates are one of the many items that most people or even children who have allergy, cant have them anymore due to their dairy content and as well as other additives and oil in the chocolates. Even if u manage to find a chocolate bar that is allergy free its often too pricey and contains too much sugar in it. Any one can make anything tasty by adding refined sugar in it. Imagine feeding your kids store bought sugar filled chocolates. No wonder obesity in children are increasing at an alarming rate nowadays. My chocolates is made only with 3 ingredients....Its so easy to make and it uses ingredients that you have readily available all the time...

Healthy Low carb gluten free, Vegan, nut free and Paleo Flax bread.

Bread is my staple for breakfast. I can't imagine living without bread. This bread recipe which I am going to share with you, have really helped my transitioning into paleo lifestyle. I have at the beginning baked quite a number of paleo breads and I must be honest with you... the bread just taste horrible. I could barely swallow it. But I never gave up on my quest for creating the perfect paleo based bread that will suit my taste. Rule no.1 when you are tasting a paleo bread, is that you must forget the taste of the normal gluten and yeast filled bread. You must be prepared to accept a different tasting bread. A bread that will still taste good, look like a bread, fits as bread but not the same as the traditional bread. Once you are ready to accept these conditions, then you are now allowed to continue reading this post. After baking a few breads without success, I am so glad that I have managed with time and experience creating a good flax bread. Baking gluten free and t...

How I got rid of my acne part III - Dairy and Gluten triggers acne.

Image
So here is the third part of my journey in curing my adult acne. Did you know that food plays a major role in acne. The food that you eat can either help you get clear glowing skin or either just feed the bacteria on your face to keep producing acne. I have discovered that Dairy and Gluten is the biggest trigger to acne. Yes you have heard me right!!! Its dairy and gluten. The two things which we have been eating since we are in our mother's womb. As you all have known from my first post on this blog... that I have had a miscarriage before. So during the pregnancy I was not only suffering from acne but I also gained so much weight. I gained around 6 kgs just 3 months into the pregnancy till I had my natural miscarriage. I was on strict bed rest, cos I was having brown discharge and cramps all the time. So being on bed rest, and pregnant, I was so alert to my hunger. I find that when I eat, I feel less nauseated. Into the third month of my pregnancy I was craving rice and spicy food...

Thank you so much for still keeping up with me,,, For those of you who might have missed my first part which is mostly an introduction on my skin, If you wish to read it then you can simply click HERE.  As most acne sufferers, my skin was so oily, like really oily that I think the oil that my skin produce can easily be enough to cook a scramble egg. It was that bad. I have tiny white bumps all over my forehead. I have big red cystic acne around my cheek, chin, neck, and chest. I have acne all over my back, shoulder and upper arms. So to fight my acne and oily skin, I was using all this recommended acne skin care products which actually just end up making my skin so tout and tight after every wash. A few minutes after washing my face, my oil glands would produce double the amount of the oil and my skin would look so dull and the tone of my skin is so uneven. At this point I really need the help of make-up and cosmetic products just to cover the patches of my uneven skin tone, the a...
